Break Room Phone Error

Problem: Break room phone is not working.

Solution: Test power to phone. Tone cable run to rack. Tone was found and patching resulted in POE connection. Phone restored.

Upon arrival I noticed break room phone had no display showing or dial tone. Time to find the cable drop at the rack and tone.

All empty patch panel ports were toned and probed. After successfully locating the correct port, a LAN test was performed to verify cable connection.

After cable test passed, a brand new patch cable was connected from panel port to switch. If all goes well, we should have a restored phone.

Upon re-accessing break room phone, there was restored connectivity. Calls were successfully placed internally, as needed. Job done.
